Invited Speakers

Robin Hunicke is the Lead Game Designer at Electronic Arts, within the Sims Division. She is working on a new game built exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. An active member of the International Game Developer's Association, she participates in several of its community efforts. Through public speaking, industry and academic work, she seeks to evangelize fresh perspectives and cross-disciplinary thinking. This includes promoting student, female, independent, and international developers, as well as facilitating collaborations between the games industry and academia. Her research interests are in Artificial Intelligence and Video Games and she is currently completing a PhD in Computer Science at Northwestern University.

Kurt Busch is Studio Director at Australia's Krome Studios, and former Vice President of Product Development at Konami. He has over 15 years of industry experience entrenched in every facet of interactive entertainment, from design and production, to marketing and license acquisition. Kurt has worked on titles spanning a number of genres, from early PC adventure titles to next-generation action shooters. His most recent position as VP of Product Development at Konami had him oversee development of the upcoming action title Hellboy: The Science of Evil.
